I'm Addicted to Words With Strangers....AKA Words With Friends 2 the app...

I love playing this game on my phone called words with friends 2.
I think though that they have named it wrong.
It should actually be called....
Words with Strangers.
I think other than playing with my daughter who
doesn't keep playing the game with me, I play with
lots of strangers.

You can play against these computer people every so often.
These are faster games and sometimes I think the computer is
going to always win.  I do eventually win, but some days it is hard.
I refuse to pay anything to make myself better at the game, so that may
also be another reason why I lose.

You can also challenge other people to play.
I think I am currently playing against 5 people.  The games can last days, depending
on how often you  go on and add a new word, and how fast the person you are playing replies.
I have to say that I lose often.
I don't ever really care if I lose, I just love playing
this almost like scrabble game.
At lunch co-workers will see me and say "you look deep in thought"
my reply is "I'm playing words with strangers."
That is the thing with this game that you have to remember is that really
you are playing with strangers.
So far only one person has tried to send me a message over this game.
I didn't read it, tried to play the game with him and then he disappeared.
I was "Ghosted"  for not replying to a message!
I think I learned my lesson from instagram, don't reply to men.
Is every app out there a way for people to meet up?
While I like to play I am smart and I don't chat with the strangers, I just play the game
and I always remember these really are not my friends, they are strangers.
If I had the ability to make an app like this I would name it
"Words With Strangers."
Do you like to play any type of phone app game?

Throw Back Thursday... Remembering Halloween Past..

There is no order to these photos.  Just looking at our past Halloweens
and thinking how much fun we had. My husband and I have been sitting and
remembering our Halloweens when the children were young.
Our children loved to go trick or treating.
Our daughter was always the one in the front running from house to house.
I was always worried one of them would fall and get hurt, yelling," walk,
don't run."
So we have Magenta, Scooby Doo, and Greg Wiggle.

My parents always came to visit and took us to the pumpkin patch.
Some years it was warm and others it was pretty cold.  We loved
riding on the hay wagon, walking the pumpkin patch looking for the
best pumpkin for making Jack o lanterns and having a
great day with the grandparents.

My favorite costume was "Road Kill Cat"  I think my
daughter wore it two years in a row.

Look at these Jack o Lanterns. How fun.

I think my mom made this one.

Oh Look the Vampire is getting a kiss,
or is he trying to bite my neck??

This is my favorite pumpkin photo from the gardens.

Oh to go back and just love my little children longer.
My son used to make this ooh sound when he really
liked something.  I think that is what he is doing in this photo.
He is just so adorable.

I think my parents are trying to keep her still for
the photo and she wants to go..
this must have been one of the cold Octobers.

where is the great pumpkin?
Is this pumpkin patch good enough for him?

Tigger and Eeyore.  My daughter lives up to this
moody donkey personality even now.

Here we found the perfect pumpkin.
What do you do when your children grow up and the fun Halloweens are
just a memory?
I put out my favorite Halloween decorations.

Through the years I took the time to frame most
of our Halloween costumes in fun Halloween frames.

So our house is filled with all our memories from years gone by.

If you have young kids, get photos, enjoy the
craziness of trick or treating and
then get some fun Halloween frames and use that as your yearly decorations.
So when you get to be an Empty Nester you will be surrounded by
all the great Halloween fun from the past.

Dynamite The Rescue Cat. Book Review : Pumkin Patch Cats. A cute Childrens Halloween Book.

Here is a cute little Halloween book.
Dynamite and I enjoyed reading this.
It's one of my Halloween decorations kept from when my children were young.
My Daughter loved all things cats and my parents got her this
Autographed book.  The writer I'm sure is from Vermont.

Dynamite wants to to be sure that while you are
enjoying Halloween that you keep your cats safe.
Many cats get scared at Halloween and end up lost.
I would think it would be really scary for a cat to be lost on
Halloween night when everyone is out dressed in strange costumes.
We plan on keeping Dynamite locked up in our bedroom until trick or treating is
done in our neighborhood. This way she won't accidently run out of
the house and get lost.  Please have plan for your pet this Halloween that
will keep them safe.
You can learn more about keeping pets safe at Halloween from
Dr. Kat on her podcast Nine Lives with Dr. Kat.
Dynamite and I enjoy this podcast.  It's very informative.

Here is a cute little cat bag I got to keep all the books
I need to read in.   Even my husband thinks its cute!

Here is Miss Dyna sun bating in summer....

And then we all blinked our eyes and it is fall.
Dynamite would also like people to know that they need
to make sure if they get a young kitten to have it spayed or neutered as young as
possible.  There is a cat crisis right now in our city.  The Rescue groups and shelters
have way too many cats and not enough people coming in to adopt.
Please do not add to this issue.  Kittens are cute, but they grow up to be cats and they all
need good homes.  The Shelters and Rescue groups need our help in spreading the word.
Kimber and Dynamite.
Please if you can help here is the website of one of our
rescue groups.  This is the group that helped Dynamite get her forever home.

Empty Nesters: Tales Of A SMOKIN HOT UBER MOM!

This summer was crazy.  I gave myself a new name
the Smokin' Hot Uber Mom.
It's not that I am beautiful or anything its because my
car has an oil leak so when it gets hot it smokes.

My son the artist of the family was kind enough to draw these
cartoons for me.  My car is old and beat up but I am determined to
get 300,000 miles out of it.  I haven't had a car payment in 23 years and
really don't want one.  I'm an Uber mom, because all summer I drove the
kids back and forth to work and now I drive my son back and forth
to the train station, he commutes to college.  I will be glad when my husband gets the
third car running and we can let my son drive to the train station.
When I'm not working and not uber driving I am enjoying walks at gardens or
going on adventures with my husband.
Recently we went to see the play Phantom.  It was awesome. I think I may
see if I can get tickets to see the Christmas Carol play this December.
My husband and I have been enjoying our weekly dates.
We went to the Young Living Fall Festival this year.
I love this photo.  We really enjoy this event, it has taken the place of
the yearly pumpkin patch trips we did when the children were young.
We are both so glad that we decided to make having a weekly date a priority.
Our relationship has grown stronger and we feel less stressed during our work week.
I would say to any couple you need to take time to go out together and do things
that you enjoy.  Life is too short to not spend time living.

Our son is doing really well in his first semester of college.  He has transitioned from
missionary life to college life really well.  He is working hard to hopefully be chosen for the
industrial design program at his college.  If that doesn't work out he will try to
get into the animation program.  He is also interested in learning other languages.
When he gets home the cat needs her daily shoulder ride from him.

Our daughter is having great start to her second year in college.  She
got a housing scholarship so she gets to live on campus. She is studying business and Japanese.
She hopes to study abroad this summer. She also hopes to earn her black belt this
January.

A new take on our kiss photos.  I call this one
"I Caught Our Shadows Kissing."
I like how the leaves in the shadows have color and
the leaves out of the shadow don't.
This Smokin' Hot Uber Mom has a day off and guess what?
She is driving around with her daughter.
I think my Smokin' car is my second home.
How are you doing?
How do you find time to spend with your family in this crazy fast world?

Exploring Utah. A Fall Walk Around Utah Lake. Lindon Marina.

I finally got some time off with my husband so
we went to the Lindon Marina to see what
Utah Lake looks like in the fall.

They have nice paved bike paths.  We have already had
cool weather and rain which brings snow to the mountains.

I love to watch the sail boats out on the lake.
Someday I will get the sailboat tour.  Maybe next year.

It was a lovely day for a walk. There were not many birds to see today.
No pelicans, maybe they have left for the winter.

This boat was supposed to be a quick fix.
They have been working on it since the spring.
I guess it had more issues than they thought it had.

The only bird that I was able to photograph was this Grebe.
This bird is related to Loons.

We did see a Heron but I wasn't able to get a photo.

I'm starting to plan some other day dates for my husband and I but
I may have to start looking for indoor activities.
Do you have a favorite place to visit in the fall or winter.
