The Great Salt Lake and City Creek Canyon. Two nice dates with my husband June 2021

A few weeks ago my husband and I went walking
at The Great Salt Lake.
I made a stone sculpture.  Mine is the one closest to you,
I wish I could claim that I made the one further back.

In Scotland these are called Cairn. I see them
almost everywhere I go hiking.

We had a nice walk, despite the little bugs.

Have you ever wondered what the seagulls eat?
They open their mouths and run and catch all the bugs.
I wonder how many little bugs make a seagull feel full?

It was fun to watch them.

Its hard to believe this used to be all water.

I found a map that shows where all the bird watching places are.
When fall and spring come I will have to check them out.
The heat and bugs keep me from exploring as much in the summer.

Do you see our shadows?

I love my little day hike book.

Some one wanted to go with us.

This is the Memorial park, it is near
the City Creek Canyon trail.

It was very pretty.

I'm not sure why people leave pennies.
It did look interesting though.

There were lots of good views of the state capital.

It was a nice easy hike.

Here is the City creek.  Well that's what
I am assuming it is called.

My favorite snack while hiking.

Look at what someone made.  A stone foot print.

It's pretty cool looking.

We liked the meditation building.
too bad you couldn't go inside.

A reflection of the state capital in the window.

Hope you enjoyed these photos of our
dates together.
Have a wonderful week.

Black-eyed Susan

I'm staying inside away from the blistering heat.
In another blog I will tell you of my
very bad hiking and heat incident.

I'm working on putting a book together,
Flowers A to Z.  These are
my "B" flower photo's.

The problem I am having is deciding which photo's to use.

Do you have a favorite flower?

I can't say if I have a favorite flower or not.
I love looking at all the flowers in the garden.

This is a black-eyed Susan vine flower.

I love looking at how there can be so many different
variations of the same flower.

I love this photo. It makes me feel happy.

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe.
I will be glad when some cool weather comes back.
