My Weekly Garden Walk...Week 11, June 12 2018...The Dragon Flies have arrived.

This Garden walk was a date and walk all in one.
My husband is great in that he allows me to
continue to stop and take photo's every five seconds.
The Holly Hocks were everywhere around the gardens.

I love Black Eyed Susan's, they
remind me of my home in Vermont.
There are lots of different types of Lilies
starting to bloom.

I think this is a double Poppy.

Snap Dragons are a flower they have in
many places in the gardens.  I never realized
how long they bloomed for.

The stream is filled with new flowers,
you can just see some ducks back by the bridge.

American Goldfinch.  It's hard to get
photo's of birds.  They move too fast.

This one sat long enough for me to
zoom in a bit.

They are still changing the bridge.

The Rose Garden is at it's peak.
The roses are beautiful.  I love how they
grow up the walk way.

The Photographer. It's not often that you get a photo of me. I liked
how the roses surrounded the benches.

we spent a long time just sitting and enjoying the roses.
"Take time in life to stop and smell the roses."

"Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am
grateful that thorns have roses.  Alphonse Karr.

The Dragon flies have started to fly about the gardens.
I learned that they spend the first part of their lives
living under water eating baby fish.  Then
when they transform they eat mosquitoes.

Mr. And Mrs. Martins babies are almost grown up.
It's hard to tell which are the parents and young geese now.

They have planted new flowers in front of the caterpillar.

These are pretty Daisies.

This Dragon Fly was nice enough to sit while I tried to photograph it.
It's hard to get a good photo, and this is zoomed in.

You really can't tell how far away I was from these photo's, but I was very far from
this dragon fly.

This is the back of the rose garden.  Look how the roses
have grown all the way up the wooden walk way.
I call this duck, Lonely duck. He is
always by himself.

this is the pond by the bridge.

The geese out feeding on the lawn.

looking down at the rose garden.

Gazinia Flowers.

I'm now heading to the fragrance garden.
They have planted Herbs from
"The Hunger Games" book.

I wonder what the flower for this plant will
look like.

I was glad to see Dandelions.  As my poor yard
is filled with them.

I like the Passion Flower.  It's just cool looking.

This is a tree in the secret garden.
It looks like it has cotton candy on it.

I think this is a Poppy.

They have planted new plants in the Italian garden.
It will be a few weeks before it really looks nice.

The man who created this sculpture
got the idea from his wife pouring out
of a pitcher.
I love this spot in the garden.

I think I took this photo because there were
people paragliding off the mountain in the back of the trees.

This is the top part of the waterfalls.  I have realized
I don't take many photo's of the waterfalls. I think
it's because there aren't many flowers around them.

They are getting ready to plant new flowers around the tower hill.

Well another walk is done. I see this trolley and
think of my son.  He would like to ride on something like that.
The gardens are my place to go to relax and leave the world behind.
I always leave feeling refreshed and ready to face the world.
Do you have a favorite photo?
G.G.
