Despite busy schedules I try hard to carve out a date of
some sort with my husband each week.
Sometimes we just head to Utah Lake and
sit by the waters edge and watch the fish jump, and
hope to see a pelican or two.
This weekend after I got home from work we headed to Salt Lake City.
I like to take photo's looking up at the temple. Almost as if you are an ant looking up.
At least that is my thought of the photo.
The Temple and the grounds around it are so beautiful.
This Quail was just sitting by the water way near the temple.
I found that it was sitting in a perfect spot to
get a really interesting photo, and it allowed me to get pretty close.
After walking the temple grounds we decided to wander
the streets of Salt Lake City.
We found a little Pizza and past place called "The Fireside On Regent."
We had an amazing little meal. The pizza is made in the little oven in the photograph below.
It was so very good.
This is the Pink Pine Pizza.
This dessert of mini donuts and cream and fruit was
delicious. If you are in Salt Lake this is a restaurant you need to try.
To end our evening we sat at the City Creek Mall and watched
the water and fire display.
It was a perfect little get away.
A much need break from the daily grind of life.
