Widget is about a stray dog who finds a new home but must act like a cat to be accepted. When the owner falls and help is needed he must then remember how to bark for help. This is a fun book to read and talk to your children about what might make them act differently around friends.
Cat's From Away is about how various cats came to live on a man's farm. Each cat has it's own story. The illustrations are beautiful.
Third Story Cat, is about a cat who get out her window on the third story finds her way down to the street and her adventure. She eventually comes home at the end of the day. It is a nice story for a child who likes cats. Again wonderful illustrations.
Feathers For Lunch.. Is about a cat who gets out of her house and chases down birds in the yard. Of course her bell rings and she only catches feathers. It has very simple text, great pictures, and good information about the birds you may see in your yard. The author Lois Ehlert writes many stories for young children. They all look like good books to read.
