Little bird goes to the Tulip festival.

The month of April is Tulip festival time at
the thanksgiving point gardens. So I took little adventure
bird to see the tulips. The above photo has been photoshopped.  It makes me giggle 🤭 to look at it.

The tulips are bigger than little bird.
He likes standing in the middle of them.

There are thousands of tulips at
the tulip festival. We like going to the fragrance garden.
They have many of the tulips with their names.

This is pretty.

It’s amazing all the different colors and sizes of tulips.
We brought my parents when they came to visit.
My mom said she felt like she had visited Holland.

Which do you like better the close up photos or
The landscape photos?

There are rows on rows of tulips.

I like the tulips with the fringes on the edges of their leaves.

There are other flowers too.
Little bird liked this pot of flowers.

Look at how nice the gardens are kept

While it’s nice to see all the tulips,
Sometimes it’s a little too crowded with people.
And I sometimes would rather go to a garden that
Has lots of different plants.

I like the colors and textures of this photo.

I really like the color of this tulip.

This pathway of grape hyacinths is beautiful.

Wouldn’t you like to sit here and enjoy the flowers for awhile?
Hope you liked our tour of the tulip festival.

My little birding year May 20, 2024

It’s been a nice few days to get bird photos.
This is a tree sparrow.

The Heron babies are huge. I think they will leave the nest soon.

A long-billed curlew.  Part of the sandpiper family.

A black necked stilt.
A white pelican.

A caspian turn. I like watching them fly around and dive for fish.

A pie-billed grebe with its babies. This was so fun to see.

A night heron. About to fly away because my husband started walking towards us.

A snowy egret.

I love this photo of the yellow headed black bird. I like the texture of the branch it’s sitting on.

An American Avocet. It was in the road and at one point acting as if it was hurt.

A cliff sparrow. There were tons of these birds.

A gadwall. Who named birds? Some of the names are a bit strange. I have heard that some people want to rename them.

A red winged black bird.

A cinnamon teal. There were lots of these birds.

A kill deer.

A male pheasant. We saw quite a few of these, but
They are shy, and run and hide pretty quickly.

A white faced ibis. There were lots of these birds.

A northern shoveler.

Canadian geese. They had a lot of babies.

A long tailed grackle. I like to watch these birds strut around.

The Clark grebes with their babies.  I love going to the lake and seeing them.
For a little birding year I feel I have been able to get some pretty nice photos.

Picking my nine.

This wall of brown squares is my Mother’s Day gift.  It is my

husband's way of showing me how he pictures us decorating our living room with my photos.

Now my job is to pick 9 of my favorite photos to frame and put on the wall.

I have thousands of photos. How will I pick.

This is one photo that I might choose.
So much to think about. Doesn’t really seem like a gift.
