Another day of sitting on the beach.

Our last full day at the beach. I had my fancy beach hat,

I had my suntan lotion. I had a beach chair and magazine.

I read the whole magazine.

My husband slept.

He also went swimming.

I photographed lots of birds.

Little bird was feeding the birds.

I went walking along the beach and found some shells and a lady bug.🐞 I saved the lady bug from drowning in the ocean.

It eventually dried up and flew away.

In the background is the towel we have had since our 

Children were little. 

We had our favorite pizza for dinner.

Then caught the sunset. 

Oh how wonderful 

A lazy day at the beach can be.

Beach vacation day two.

On day two of our beach vacation we were going to get up and catch the sunrise but we didn’t make it.

We went for a walk on the point pleasant beach.

We learned a bit about the large fishing boats.

I got some cool sea bird photos.

I think this is my favorite type of 

Gull. I’m going to do a 

Birds I saw on my vacation blog at some point.

After a day laying on the beach 

He was actually as red as a lobster.🦞 

My husband never really spent time on this 

Side of the inlet when he lived in New Jersey.

So it was a new adventure for both of us.

I think he used to carry a lantern.

This is a memorial for people lost at sea.

The wooden anchor says “no grave but the sea”

And the plaques are memorials for people lost 

at sea.  I may try to look up the boat names and 

See what happened.

 

It’s nice to sit and feel the breeze and 

Watch the boats come in and out.

I have told my children,

look for me in the reflection of the sunglasses.

There are never photos of the photographer.

I enjoy walking the board walk and looking 👀 

At all the different beach houses.

They come in all different shapes and 

Designs.

The little beach bungalow is my favorite.

This was just an interesting looking place.

I joked that my beach house would have this type of yard,

Totally out of control, driving my neighbors crazy.

There are lots of cute shops on the boardwalk.

Why do I now need to lose ten pounds instead of five?

Probably my love of ice cream 🍦.

So much candy.🍭 

I was going to play this game,

But when we went back the next day we could not find it.

Now off to sit in the sun.

Sunset nature walk in the cove.

As the day was ending we went on a nature walk in 

the fisherman’s cove. All the time we lived in 

New Jersey we never walked back in this area.

It was very beautiful. We saw rabbits.

and birds. It was nice and cool.

We saw two deer.

Little bird found a nice place to perch.

There were flowers.

The path brings you to the inlet. Look

At all the huge boats.

There was a great egret.

Lots of gulls.

We found a little crab stuck on its back. We flipped it 

Over and helped it get back into the water.

A giant dead fish.  Maybe someone caught it?

 We collected some sea shells.

Then watched the sunset. 

Being in a different time zone was hard, 

By the time we felt hungry all the restaurants were closing.

Even though they say they are open until 10 pm,

Their kitchen closes at 9pm. I 

Will remember that for our next vacation.

On my vacation I tried to be lazy, I found it difficult.

 On vacation I sat on the beach and read a whole magazine. One of the articles was about being lazy. I’m not sure lazy is the right word, maybe it should be relaxed.  I tried to sit and relax.

I watched the clouds go by.

I listened to the waves. And watched boats come in and out of 

the inlet.

I think many were fishing tour boats.

I read my magazine.

It was all about things to do in the summer.

I am not used to sitting around and doing nothing.

About an hour in and I wanted to be doing something.

Walking, exploring, seeing new things.

My husband he could sleep all day on the beach.

I couldn’t do that, so I went for some walks

while he slept.

Here is breakfast on day one of our beach trip. 

We found this restaurant the last time we 

visited New Jersey. 

He likes to soak in all the beach vibes.

Can you sleep all day on the beach?

I enjoy walking and exploring more 

than laying around.
