Lifting weights πŸ‹️ in my 50’s makes me wish I started when I was younger.

 

AI doesn’t always work with making the pictures I want.

But I wish I had the muscles πŸ’ͺ cartoon Kimberly has. 

I have been lifting weights three days a week as part of my exercise program. Trying to have more muscle than fat to help beat pre-diabetes. 

At first it felt like I was not really doing anything. I started off small.  A 4 minute bicep finisher program.  With 5lb weights.

I can now do 10lb weights, and I’m working up to a 20 minute workout. πŸ‹️ 



This past week I started to do glute exercises. So my weight work outs are now about 20 minutes.  I have more energy,

I don’t crave sweet things.  I wish I started this years ago. I’m glad that I can do these workouts now. 


After I do my weight training I get on my bike and ride for 20 minutes.  Fit at fifty something is my goal.  I have been slowly increasing my workouts.  It’s nice to feel healthy.
