Sunset nature walk in the cove.

As the day was ending we went on a nature walk in 

the fisherman’s cove. All the time we lived in 

New Jersey we never walked back in this area.

It was very beautiful. We saw rabbits.

and birds. It was nice and cool.

We saw two deer.

Little bird found a nice place to perch.

There were flowers.

The path brings you to the inlet. Look

At all the huge boats.

There was a great egret.

Lots of gulls.

We found a little crab stuck on its back. We flipped it 

Over and helped it get back into the water.

A giant dead fish.  Maybe someone caught it?

 We collected some sea shells.

Then watched the sunset. 

Being in a different time zone was hard, 

By the time we felt hungry all the restaurants were closing.

Even though they say they are open until 10 pm,

Their kitchen closes at 9pm. I 

Will remember that for our next vacation.

On my vacation I tried to be lazy, I found it difficult.

 On vacation I sat on the beach and read a whole magazine. One of the articles was about being lazy. I’m not sure lazy is the right word, maybe it should be relaxed.  I tried to sit and relax.

I watched the clouds go by.

I listened to the waves. And watched boats come in and out of 

the inlet.

I think many were fishing tour boats.

I read my magazine.

It was all about things to do in the summer.

I am not used to sitting around and doing nothing.

About an hour in and I wanted to be doing something.

Walking, exploring, seeing new things.

My husband he could sleep all day on the beach.

I couldn’t do that, so I went for some walks

while he slept.

Here is breakfast on day one of our beach trip. 

We found this restaurant the last time we 

visited New Jersey. 

He likes to soak in all the beach vibes.

Can you sleep all day on the beach?

I enjoy walking and exploring more 

than laying around.

Our beach vacation at the no tell motel.

On our vacation we spent two days at the beach.

We didn’t make hotel reservations until we got there.

Next time I will drive around and look at the 

Hotels before choosing one.  Don’t believe the travel 

Websites that say they will save you money.

It was less expensive to talk to the actual hotel person.

We got our Carlson’s burger and fries.

Little bird also tried the favorite beach food.

We had really nice weather.

This made up for the beach vacation that was all

Rain.

Vacation nature walk.

On day 2 of vacation we spent time at our favorite park.

Dukes island park. When the kids were little and we lived in New Jersey we went to this park almost every day in the summer.  

 

We loved seeing all the wildlife. 

Watching the squirrels.

Trying to name all the different birds.

It was always nice to walk the shady paths.

We would walk by the Raritan River and 

Look for water birds.

New Jersey is so much greener than Utah.

Our most favorite thing was looking for turtles.

We were not disappointed as

We saw a bunch of them.

There are places I remember

We went to New Jersey to visit 

my mother in law who is 90 years old.

She is not well and so we could only 

visit for short periods of time.

When not visiting her we visited our favorite place.

Our first stop was Dominic’s pizza restaurant.

This was a pizza vacation. 

Our second day we went to downtown 

Somerville.

I used to work in a bank on Main Street.

Next to the bank was the courthouse sub shop.
