Average Kimberly and the customer who apologized

 


Average Kimberly has a customer service job.
She likes her job and enjoys helping people.  If service
to others gets you to heaven then a job as a customer service worker
must be one of those jobs that makes you look good when you get to the other side.

Last week a customer called in really mad about not being able to return a 
gift card.  Kimberly remained calm, apologized to the customer
and told them the only thing she could do to help.
The customer was so mad they screamed and shouted and then
hung up.  
Rule number one in guest services "Don't let the one angry customer ruin your day."
The amazing end of this story is the next day the customer called back and
apologized for the way they treated average Kimberly. 
That does not happen often.  It's nice when it does.
