What is your computer algorithm feeding you?

I live in Utah and was shocked by the shooting last week.
I didn’t know who the man was who got shot. I’m not a person who keeps up with politics.
I’m reading posts and listening to people and it makes me wonder about what made people dislike this person,
and what made people like him?
Where did people get information that made them hate him?
Where did people find information that made them follow him?

I think it has a lot to do with what they looked for on their computers and phones. The information you get is brought to you by some type of computer algorithm.
So two people can look up a person and find two different views about them depending on how they search the internet.
Once you choose what you want to believe more of that information gets fed to you.
My computer algorithms send me photos of cats.

They send me photos of flowers and gardens.
The send me people that photograph wildlife and birds.

And for some unknown reason I see things about snakes.
I must have watched a snake video.
The algorithm in my kindle suggests new books to read based on the books I have read.
Take a moment to think about what is being sent your way on your computer or phone.
Is it uplifting you or making you feel like the world is falling apart.
Then look for other information. Take time to be in the real world and put the phone and computers away.
You will find that life is less stressful when you are not constantly connected to the internet.
