My garden in July and the problems I am experiencing .

I’m trying to keep track of the plants that survive
my poor gardening skills. So
that next year my garden might look
a little better.
Columbine does well in my garden.

Lavender does really well too. I have been slowly
Planting more in my garden.

Larkspur grows well. It kind of took
Over this spring and that is why
my garden is pretty barren now.

This pot of zinnias did not do well.
I thought it was attacked by bugs,
but this what happens when you overwater.
I feel horrible this happened.

I have one bachelor button plant. I have planted
more seeds so maybe more will grow, that is
if the bug that eats baby plants doesn’t eat them
all first.

This cone flower is doing good.

This is a Jacob’s ladder plant.
I think it is doing good.
I look forward to seeing what it’s flowers will look like.

My black eyed Susan plant.

Tick seed grows pretty good.

I have Shasta daisies, they don’t do very good.

My lavender plant, no longer blooming.

My poor calendula plant, again too
much water.

My garden is a bit of a mess. Perhaps next year I will
do better. If nothing grows the rest of the summer,
I may buy lots of bulb plants
and put them in. I don’t think I could kill them.
I used to have a green thumb,
but I think it has left me.

Dinosaurs in the garden causes the loss of tranquility.

I used to walk the Thanksgiving Point
gardens every week in the summer. It was a
place I could go and relax and soak
in the beauty of nature.
The last few years though
the summer theme for the garden
has been dinosaurs.

I know this must boost how many people
visit the garden with their children.
For the person like me who wants
to escape the busy world and
find a peaceful place in nature it
has made it less of a place I
want to visit.

To avoid the crowds, I walk the
Opposite way of the Dinosaur trail.
You can still enjoy seeing beautiful flowers.
The quiet is gone.
There are dinosaur noises pretty much everywhere.

I used to leave feeling refreshed.
Enjoying silence and nature.

Seeing my favorite summer flowers.

Little bird likes flowers.

It was a peaceful hour,
that I looked forward to.

Kind of weird looking green bugs.

There are some spots that are dinosaur free.

The flower beds are still very beautiful.

I enjoyed the 70’s themed garden.

All the flowers my mother planted.

This spot was quiet, due to the lack of
Dinosaur.

I like the big ball decorations.

I think having this car would be fun.

The secret garden was also dinosaur free.

I will go again, early in the morning because there are
less people. What used to be a favorite place
In my opinion has now become a tourist attraction.
I will have to look for new gardens to explore.
I think if I had young dinosaur crazy children
this would be a great escape, but that is
just not what I am looking for.
Do you have a place that you used to love visiting
that has changed and now you need to find a new place?

Good bye New Jersey, our crazy drive to the airport.

Little bird liked our stay at the Marriott
A lot better than the beach hotel.
Of course it did cost more.

Our last day in New Jersey we
had breakfast at the Time To Eat Diner.

All the eating out on vacation made
for sadness when stepping on
my scale when I got home.
But it was worth it.

The famous “pork roll” sandwich.

This was our rental car. It got amazing gas mileage.
We only put gas in once our whole trip!

We took one last walk at Dukes park.
Glad to be heading home. The hot
and muggy weather was not pleasant.
Our plane ✈️ did not leave until 5:45 pm.
We decided to drive to the airport early so
we didn’t have to worry about traffic.

We left at 11am .
Traffic doesn’t look too bad.

It was cool to see all the big city buildings.

Then traffic became horrible.

It was like watching a football game,
where there is two minutes left of the
game and those 2 minutes take 3 hours!
It says we have 9 miles to drive and it
Will take 30 minutes.
I think it took longer.

I saw the Statue of Liberty.

Now 7 miles will take 20 minutes.
Ugh 😑.

Next time I will choose a different airport.
I’m not good with the city driving.
I wasn’t even driving.

Someone is exhausted.

Little bird is ready for lunch.

A very yummy Ruben sandwich.

Waiting to fly home.

Time take off.

I like the window seat.

Good bye East Coast.

Do you like traveling?
